4/2007 – wine tasting – Smokey, if not gamey nose. Blackberry, strawberry, and a bit of toasty oak. Good backbone, leathery tannins. You can taste the alcohol, which I don’t particularly like. It would be good with a meat, I think. I’m not sure about it by itself. 8
