Paso Robles, CA – $15

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah / Petite Sirah / Tempranillo / Grenache / and Zinfandel is not as rabid as it is “fresh.”  As it warms, the nose reveals cherry, cedar, and dill.  The flavors, however, are much more juicy to me, revealing fresh plum and an almost-sweet blueberry, accented by an apple-like wood, anise, and some lingering coffee notes.  I like this!  8.8
