$11 – Barossa Valley, Australia
Woodsy nose with notes of strawberry and cherry. Very pleasing to the senses. Fresh and forward flavors of tart, red fruits with overtones of cola. Moderately dry finish accompanied by lingering flavors of earth and parsley. The viognier is more than a softner in this blend, as it’s juice-like quality seems to exhibit itself on the front end of this wine. A really enjoyable value – not your typical budget Aussie shiraz. 8.9
