$16 – Contra Costa County, California
As you might have gathered, I am a big fan of Cline wines. I have had this vintage more than once, but I’ve been saving this bottle for a few years, and even that time has helped it develop an even more intense character.
For the dollar, this zin will capture you. The aromas are toasty and hint of sweet vanilla, with flavors to complement. I taste raspberry jam, allspice, pepper and smoke. Very complex, but VERY drinkable. It paired perfectly for us with an italian grilled pork chop and garlic thyme smashed potatoes on Friday; we served most of the rest during our first open house wine tasting the next day; and I made a steak marinade with the last of it on Sunday.

Glad to see that the Zin pleased another fan! Your pairing sounds scrumptious, by the way.
